We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repair and maintenance services. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge and customer service will ensure that our clients receive exceptional support and guidance throughout their service experience. You will play a crucial role in upselling services, managing customer expectations, and facilitating smooth communication between customers and our skilled technicians.
Responsibilities
Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.
Assess customer needs by listening to their concerns regarding vehicle performance or issues.
Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs based on mechanical knowledge.
Prepare accurate estimates for repairs and services, ensuring transparency in pricing.
Manage the service schedule to optimize workflow and minimize wait times for customers.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments for services rendered.
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns.
Collaborate with technicians to communicate customer needs and facilitate efficient repairs.
Promote additional services through effective upselling techniques while maintaining customer trust.
Experience
Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in automotive repair is highly desirable.
Proven customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
Experience in cash handling and sales within an automotive dealership setting is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly to customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
