In this role, the Sr. Principal Product Manager (Sr. PPM) will be tasked with leveraging the potential of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to help strategic customers achieve their business goals. The position requires a mix of deep technical understanding of cloud service and the ability to effectively understand customer needs. The PPM will serve as a bridge between product teams, engineering, and customers, identifying specific challenges, cloud adoption drivers, and key service value propositions. The emphasis is on understanding key reference customers' needs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the delivery of desired features.

The Sr. PPM will own the discovery, development, and integration of features spanning multiple OCI products. Additionally, the role encompasses the creation of customer reference programs, sales collateral, and various content types. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is emphasized, contributing to Oracle's global growth, market share expansion, and customer retention efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Unlock the power of OCI with our strategic customers.

Technical depth and breadth required to understand strategic customer needs and match them to the OCI products/service footprint.

Be the conduit between inbound product teams, engineering, and the customer.

Identify specific problems, cloud adoption drivers, value propositions, and solutions.

Focus on determining what key reference customers want, problem solve, and deliver the key features/products they want.

Run programs and analytics to determine what is working vs. what is not.

Drive the technical direction, product vision, roadmap, and execution across multiple product teams.

Drive the discovery, development, and integration of features that impact multiple products at OCI.

Drive solutions and requirements into roadmaps and new features and functionality to increase customer demand.

Help create key customer reference programs, sales collateral, public website content, reference architectures, and white papers.

Frequently meet with and present to Oracle executive leadership and top-tier reference customers.

Collaborate and coordinate with Oracle-wide stakeholders and work closely with external partners and internal product teams across the company.

Manage strategic engagement with the field to help grow our international footprint, take market share, land marquis/big logos, and retain existing customers.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Product management experience 6+ years with a leading cloud solution provider.

Deeply technical with an understanding of cloud infrastructure—able to define new features and functionality and synthesize them into what customers want/need.

Hands-on technical product manager —fungible enough to be deployed on any problem anywhere in OCI.

Data-driven engineering executive with broad business background with experience leading the delivery of cloud services.

Customer-centric, customer-facing, and problem-solving experience at an enterprise-scale cloud services company.

Strong engineering fundamentals with a proven track record building and leading engineering teams at scale.

Can excel and deliver results under pressure.
