Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.

THE JOB:

As the Assistant General Manager at Orla, you will partner with the General Manager to lead the operations of Chef Michael Mina’s stunning Mediterranean restaurant. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operations of this high-end dining experience, overseeing staff, guest satisfaction, and the overall success of the venue. This role is perfect for an experienced hospitality leader who is passionate about guest service and restaurant management, and who thrives in an upscale dining environment.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, including labor productivity, scheduling, inventory control, and fiscal budget management.

Work alongside the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained, and that any guest concerns are addressed with care and professionalism.

Take ownership of training, coaching, and developing a small but dedicated team, fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment.

Manage the restaurant’s service floor, ensuring a seamless service experience between the kitchen and dining room.

Assist with managing human resources responsibilities such as hiring, training, and performance evaluations, ensuring the restaurant is staffed with top-tier talent.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Must be 21 years of age or older.

2+ years of relevant management experience in a fine dining or upscale hospitality environment.

Strong floor presence and the ability to manage guest interactions in a professional and engaging manner.

Experience managing labor productivity, scheduling, and inventory control.

A proactive, team-focused leader who can balance administrative duties with hands-on restaurant management.

Enthusiastic about learning and growth, with a mindset that embraces innovation and creativity, especially in areas such as service experience and guest engagement.
