Role descriptionThe position is principally responsible for website and social media management for the VMA and its affiliates. The position manages the branding, messaging, design, planning, and scheduling of all VMA business unit communications and marketing in coordination with internal and contracted SMEs and content developers. The position coordinates website design, SEO, and e-commerce platform functionality with contractors. The position is responsible for biweekly reporting on core performance metrics including incorporating SME Google Analytics analysis of VMA platforms. The position provides cross-functional support in Business Solutions, Events, Marketing, Member Benefits, Member Services & Engagement, Political Mobilization, and Workforce Solutions.Supervisory Responsibilities:No direct reports for this position, but individual does work closely with and manage contractors.Manage and support SMEs and independent contractors.Manage website updates and content creation for independent contracts.Ensure consistent and effective communication strategies across all projects and business units.Performance Areas:1. Social Media Content Creation & Management:Develop compelling social media, including promos, reels, and posts that maximize engagement and conversions.Develop compelling content that aligns with communications guidelines and business style guides.Develop compelling copy for promos, press releases, websites, and social media.2. Website Design, Management, and Analytics:Maintain websites and ecommerce experience utilizing WordPress and Squarespace.Ensure an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly online presence.Manage SEO and Google Analytics contract services.Manage website development contract services.Provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.3. Marketing and Communications:Engage internal business unit SMEs in developing content for effective direct email marketing campaigns that maximize engagement, impact, and sales conversions.Manage the branding, messaging, design, planning, and scheduling of all VMA business unit communications and marketing to align with communications guidelines and business style guides.Draft, edit, and publish communications using CRM, email, and social media tools.4. Cross-Functional Scheduling:Ensure seamless collaboration and timely execution of marketing resources with cross-functional teams.Lead weekly scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams to coordinate communications.5. Event Support:Develop and maintain competition and event websites including conducting A/B testing.Standardize e-marketing templates in cooperation with business unit SMEs.Capture high-quality photos and videos for social media and direct marketing.General Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (Marketing, Communications, or related field).Proven experience in website management and content creation.Proficiency in WordPress, HootSuite and e-commerceStrong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Eye for detail and design aesthetics.Preferred Qualifications:5 years of work experience with WordPress and social media platforms.3 years of work experience with Canva, Adobe InDesign, Squarespace1+ years of work experience with CRM systems, Google Analytics, YouTube video development.Comfortable working in an office environmentFeatured Benefits:401(k) with company matchComprehensive insurancePaid Holidays, Vacation, Sick, and Personal LeavePerformance bonusTechnology/Telecom stipend
