Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties

Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall service satisfactionConduct routine venipuncture for plasmapheresis and collect donor samplesRespond and assist with donor reactions during the donation processMonitor collection equipment to facilitate the health and safety of the donorsSet up, disconnect, and operate the plasmapheresis machine to include; troubleshooting, documentation, and evaluation of any message displaysDisconnect donors by removing the needle from the venipuncture site and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment into a biohazard containerEnsure proper calibration and maintenance of plasma auto pheresis machines to include; daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance of all equipment in the donor floor areaMaintain equipment and work area cleanliness in between donorsResponsible for accurate documentation of collection recordsLearn and maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and internal Company ProceduresThorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the futureMaintain an open line of communication with ManagementEnsure and maintain the confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center informationMaintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendorsAbility to accept performance feedback in a professional mannerRegular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetingsOther duties as assignedQualifications

High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum one (1) year work experience preferredLicense or certification where required by stateRequirements
