Job Descriptions
As an Associate Director specializing in Corporate Tax, you will play a pivotal role in our tax practice, leveraging your expertise in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and its implications on international tax laws and regulations. You will have a solid understanding of key provisions such as GILTI, FDII, and other new provisions related to U.S. taxation, as well as updated international reporting forms (including 5471). Your historical knowledge regarding sub-part F, foreign disclosure requirements, and structuring for cross-border businesses and families will be essential.
While our firm is engaged in multinational corporate inbound and outbound taxation, our primary focus lies in providing strategic tax planning for entrepreneurial individuals and their businesses, cross-border tax planning for wealthy families and trusts, and transactional consulting.
Responsibilities:Conduct research and consult with clients on tax-efficient structuring of inbound and outbound international transactions, effective use of tax treaties, planning related to offshore investment activities, and repatriation programs to minimize US and foreign income taxes of our US-based multinational clients.Facilitate client understanding of international tax development implications.Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients.Collaborate closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development.Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively.Consult, work with, and service clients to make recommendations on business and process improvements and serve as a business advisor to clients.Attend professional development and training sessions regularly and stay informed regarding tax changes and issues that could affect clients.Qualifications:
Eight (8) or more years of progressive tax consulting experience.Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA.Masters in taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD.Experience with a large public accounting firm or large law firm.Knowledge of inbound and outbound taxation.Working knowledge of international, estate, and gift tax planning.Experience with foreign trust issues, including foreign grantor and non-grantor trusts.Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance and consulting.Experience with inbound and outbound transaction consulting, multi-national corporation experience, transfer pricing, and foreign tax credit utilization is a plus.Experience training and developing staff.What We Offer:
