Job Description
The R&D engineering Co-op position is for the Applicator / Tool Engineering Lab. The co-op will be assigned a mentor and at least one "real world" project to complete during their assignment. Initially, the individual would be expected to become skilled at testing and learning paint application tools. This position is for a minimum of
6 months starting in May 2025 .
Responsibilities
They would be responsible for assisting Engineers with parts validation through dimensional checks, ESL, MSL and Pilot process, and design of experiments to validate tooling, designs and components. In addition the use of Solidworks (CAD) to assist with creating and maintaining drawing and /or specifications. We are looking for innovative thinkers that are hands on problem solvers. They will be expected to participate in monthly and quarterly meetings presenting their work.
Qualifications
EDUCATION•Must have a HS diploma or GED•Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Design or Validation Engineering•Minimum 2.8 GPA
Preferred•Junior or Senior class standing is preferred
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMust be willing to work up to 28-40 hours per week for a total of 6 months, with or without reasonable accommodationMust have access to local housing as well as reliable transportationSkilled at using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointWorking knowledge of SolidWorksBasic understanding of information technology infrastructure and computer platforms
