We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Financial Aid Officer to join our team and assist students in navigating the financial aid process, ensuring they have the support needed to pursue their educational goals.Job Description:The Financial Aid Officer is responsible for providing guidance and support to students and families regarding financial aid options. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of federal and state regulations related to student financial aid programs. The Financial Aid Officer will work closely with students to assess their eligibility, process applications, and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and federal policies.Key Responsibilities:Assist students in understanding and applying for financial aid, including federal, state, and institutional aid programs.Conduct financial aid counseling sessions for prospective and current students.Process financial aid applications and ensure timely distribution of financial aid packages.Verify student information and resolve discrepancies in applications or documentation.Monitor student eligibility for aid, including satisfactory academic progress, enrollment status, and other requirements.Maintain accurate and confidential student financial records in compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.Prepare and submit necessary reports to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.Assist with the development and implementation of financial aid policies and procedures.Stay up-to-date on changes to financial aid regulations and policies and communicate these changes to students and staff.Provide exceptional customer service to students, families, and the community regarding financial aid processes and options.Collaborate with other departments within the institute to support student retention and success.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, education, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial aid or student services, preferably within an educational institution.Strong understanding of federal and state financial aid regulations (FAFSA, Title IV, etc.).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Proficiency in using financial aid management software and Microsoft Office Suite.A student-centered approach and a commitment to supporting students in achieving their educational goals.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.An opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment dedicated to student success.
