We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This position offers an incredible opportunity to work with a team of professionals and contribute to the financial health of our company. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.2. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.3. Analyze financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.4. Work closely with team members to understand and analyze financial reports.5. Assist in the preparation of annual audit and tax returns.6. Develop and implement accounting policies, coordinate systems and procedures, and prepare operating data and special reports as required.7. Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries, postings, and reconciliations.8. Assist with employee expense reports and payroll preparation.9. Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules.10. Supervise accounting department, junior employees, and accounting assistants.11. Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries.

Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2. Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel, and familiarity with accounting software and databases.6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze figures.7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.10. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.11. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.12. Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.13. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
