Welder/Fitter - 1st shift

Welder/Fitter Shift: 1st, (6am-2pm) Pay: $22-$30/hr. (Based on experience) Job Description:As part of our steel fabrication team, you will be responsible for producing a wide array of weldments to exact specifications, ensuring they fit correctly, and performing component assembly tasks.Requirements:Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand toolsWeld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positionHand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal componentsAbility to complete open table set upsAble to work with gage steel through to thick plateAssist with welding of weldmentsForklift operationQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 3 years of experienceOverhead crane and forklift certified a plusStrong math skills, ability to read a tape measure, and an understanding of blue printsExperience in Metal Core 052 to 06, Hard Wire 035 to 045, Flux Core 052 to 062 and Multiple Pass a mustKnowledge of machines and tools, comfort working with hand tools, grinder, torch, etc.Strong problem solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to prioritize and multitask
