Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage all accounting functions related to the manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for managing the accounting department's daily operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, managing cost accounting, providing financial and strategic insights to support manufacturing processes and the company's financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both accounting and manufacturing, with a proven ability to manage teams and improve financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.Conduct detailed financial analysis and variance analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and profitability.Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.

Accounting Operations:

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheets.Monitor and manage cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable aging and resolving collection issues.Conduct detailed financial analysis and variance analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and profitability.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor budget performance and variance analysis.

Inventory Management:

Ensure accurate valuation and recording of inventory.Monitor inventory levels, conduct periodic physical counts, and reconcile discrepancies.Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Coordinate and support internal and external audits and reviews.

Team Management:

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Conduct performance reviews and facilitate professional development.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in accounting and manufacturing operations.Implement best practices and streamline accounting procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Financial Analysis:

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Dynamics SL, Crystal Reporting, Workfront or similar) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Benefits Start on Day 1:
