Job Description: CNC Operator (Saw Operator/Wood) Position Reports To: Dept. SupervisorIMPORTANT Specifics About this Position: Open to candidates with 1-2 years of experience and willing to train/learn Ability to read blueprints and measuring devices (metric and standard dimensions). Basic math and problem-solving skills. Working understanding of computers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter and capable of working independently. Maintain quality standards. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Tall, long arms do to sheets and table height Experience with a table saw, 2 years minimum Must have reliable transportation Works in Lewisville 1st shift Position Summary: Responsible for loading and unloading the CNC table saw, tracking production, and recording daily production. Cutting wood and trimming excess material from workpieces. Checking the quality of lumber or raw woodstockVerifies the conformance of the machined workpiece to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Assisting the Dept. Lead in training operators and providing a safe and efficient work area. Duties and Responsibilities: Establishes and sets controls to regulate factors such as speed, feed, depth, and angle of cut according to established guidelines and procedures. Evaluate and validate CNC tools and paths for each component and be able to adjust parameters if needed. Properly load raw materials and/or parts onto machines Starts and observes machine operation for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using measuring and inspection tools. Performs routine maintenance tasks on machines as required to ensure functionality. Properly install, calibrate, and test machine tooling. Inspect components before working on them for correct specifications. Capacity to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and urgency. Interpret complex drawings, apply knowledge to solutions, and incorporate changes when deemed necessary. Effectively interface with internal software such as ERP, drawing viewers, MS Office, and dedicated machine controls. Perform any other task asked by the supervisor. Position Qualifications: Prevous CNC Table Saw experience Ability to read blueprints and measuring devices (metric and standard dimensions). Strong math and problem-solving skills. Working understanding of computers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter and capable of working independently. Ability and willingness to train others. Maintain quality standards. Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. MUST have reliable transportation. Education: High school diploma or GED Previous CNC programming experienceRequirements: Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office and drawing/model viewer (eDrawing). completion of pre-employment background and drug screen Work overtime as required.
