Job DescriptionRegions is seeking an experienced RN to join our Access Center in a .75 FTE, night shift position. HealthPartners Direct access center is responsible for the 24/7 coordination of hospital direct admissions, transfers, specialty consultation and patient logistics across the system, creating timely access to care for patients within and outside of HealthPartners. It is a critical function to support access to hospital care, specialty services and system growth strategies. The HealthPartners Direct access center team works with multiple disciplines, departments, and hospital operational leaders to ensure optimal patient flow across the system, operationalizing reliable workflows and clinical standards to guide appropriate patient placement. The access center RN will be the initial contact for all HealthPartners Direct (HPD) admissions, transfers, and consultations, coordinating provider-provider hand-offs. Access Center RN's will interact frequently with HealthPartners providers from clinics and hospitals, as well as providers from external organizations seeking services for admission, ED-ED transfer or specialty consultation. The RN's at HealthPartners Direct access center are responsible for triage of all HPD patients to ensure a proper physician connection and partnering with the medical resource control center (MRCC) staff as the initial point of contact for critical admissions such as Cath Lab Activations or Acute Stroke admissions. At a later date, the access center RN may expand their role and cross-train to the MRCC, which receives patient information from ambulance services within the metro area, greater MN and western Wisconsin and communicates this information with receiving hospitals or medical facilities. They are the initial point of contact for critical admissions like trauma team and cath lab activations as well as acute stroke admissions.Work Schedule:0.75 Nights every 3rd weekendRequired Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing 2-5 years of recent clinical experience as an RN in a hospital setting or new grad RN with recent 2+ years as a paramedic responding to 911 calls Current RN licensure in State of Minnesota Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's in related field. 5 years of recent clinical experience as an RN in hospital setting; Charge nurse experience preferred. 2-5 years recent patient placement experienceBenefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
