The Security Engineer demonstrates technical competency in specific cybersecurity tools, technologies, and processes as determined by the strategic direction of IT and Information Security.You will help plan, implement and manage the organization's information security strategy.
This positions responsibilities include:
Designing, implementing and monitoring security measures and controls for the protection of computer systems, networks and dataIdentifying and defining system security requirementsDesigning computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designsAnalyze security systems and seek to implement improvements on a continuous basisIdentify and report possible threats or software issuesResearch weaknesses in systems and network and find ways to resolve themFind cost-effective solutions to cybersecurity problemsDevelop best practices and security standards for the organizationAssist other employees with cybersecurity, software, hardware or IT needsTriage, investigate, and respond to threat alerts from security software systems that are leverage as part of the Deaconess Cybersecurity frameworkEducation and Experience
Proficiency or familiarity with administering security software and processes in the areas of data loss prevention, event log analysis, endpoint detection and response, endpoint protection, privileged access management, and vulnerability management.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science or Equivalent Education preferred.2+ years of relevant Cybersecurity experience preferred.
