The Corporate Accounting Manager is an integral member of the accounting team and will report directly to the Assistant Controller. This position oversees corporate-level entities and property portfolios, ensuring that financial reporting is accurate and timely. The Corporate Accounting Manager supervises accounting staff, manages financial processes, and ensures compliance with all internal and external policies, including GAAP standards. In this role, you will oversee consolidated financial reporting for corporate entities and parent companies, playing a critical part in financial control and audit processes.

Responsibilities:

Manage, mentor, and oversee assigned Staff Accountants.Assist the Assistant Controller in reviewing property and corporate accounting functions, including entity financials.Coordinate staff training covering software, hardware, and accounting principles.Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded according to company policies and GAAP standards.Review and approve journal entries and ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.Serve as a key liaison for audit processes, handling inquiries, and managing data consolidation.Prepare and consolidate financial data from various sources to assist management in decision-making.Conduct specialized analyses and prepare reports for management or external stakeholders.Maintain banking and credit card administration backup procedures, including cash controls and intercompany transfers.Oversee monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring alignment with company policies.Assist with compliance and financial aspects of third-party agreements, including support for audits and reporting needs.Coordinate and communicate with various departments to resolve financial matters and prepare specialized reports.Maintain an updated Accounting Calendar with key deadlines and ensure adherence to timelines.Handle general ledger accounting for select properties.Participate in occasional company educational activities and team-building events, including overnight stays.Undertake additional projects as required to meet departmental goalsOthe responsibilities as assigned.Skills & Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of work.Ability to handle complex tasks and lead cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork collaboration.Availability for occasional overtime or weekend work to meet deadlines.Experience & Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting/finance, or economics.Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, including bank reconciliations and financial reporting.At least 3 years of supervisory experience.Strong understanding of GAAP and some real estate accounting background.Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Primarily a sedentary role requiring the operation of computers and office equipment.FLSA
