In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying the network security posture across our network edge, backbone, offices, and cloud data centers. The successful candidate will drive network security strategies from concept through implementation and support while enhancing the automation, visibility, and management of our network security practicesDuties and Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain a highly resilient and scalable network infrastructure systems across office(s) and cloud data center(s)Be the hands-on subject matter expert for all things related to network and network security best practicesAssist in the develop and improvement of automation, visibility, and management practices for network infrastructure services and network securityDesign, implement, and maintain availability of network security technologies, including but not limited to intrusion detection system (IDS), intrusion prevention system (IPS), web application firewall (WAF), Web Filtering, Network AppControl, and Network Access Control (NAC).Manages ISPs, routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points (WAP)Monitors the performance of network systems (virtual and physical) to identify any potential bottlenecks, security gaps, or improvements to ensure compliance with agreed-upon SLASLOsWorks closely with cyber-security team to conducts threat and vulnerability risk assessments to determine network security requirements and proactively fix network-related security flaws and vulnerabilitiesGoverns network security design and architecture during project delivery by enforcing the use of established standards and evolving solutions and patternsCreate and maintain clear and concise documentation of network infrastructure to ensure supportability and reusabilityEducation and Work Experience:Four-Year undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent experienceIndustry Standard Network Certifications such as:CompTIA Network+CompTIA Security+Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Knowledge and Skills:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.5+ years of experience in network and network security engineeringStrong knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPSecExperience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure (Preferred), or GCPExperience with network management and orchestration tools such as Tufin, Ansible, Solarwinds, Auvik, etcStrong knowledge of enterprise network hardware (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet)Experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining SD-WAN environmentsExperience architecting, implementing, and maintaining a Zero-Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA)Customer-focused mindset, with demonstrated skill in managing expectations, providing proactive status updates, and producing high-quality work productsAbility to communicate technical detail into succinct and fact-based business terminology, both verbally and in writingAbility to plan, organize and prioritize work independently and meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills & strong attention to detail
