Description and Requirements The Team You Will Join The Responsible Use of AI team was set up to ensure responsible implementation of AI across the enterprise. This team sits within the Data Governance team, which is part of the Data and Analytics Organization in the Global Technology Operations team. The Opportunity The Responsible AI Risk Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations related to AI risk management and ensure the completeness of AI risk mitigation processes within our organization. This position will focus on implementing and maintaining responsible AI practices in our operational workflows across MetLife. Other responsibilities will include the following: Oversee the daily implementation of AI risk management policies and procedures. Coordinate with various departments to ensure AI risk assessments are regularly conducted and properly documented. Manage a system for tracking and monitoring AI-related risks across different projects and operations. Ensure completeness of AI risk documentation and maintain an up-to-date risk register. Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review and address AI-related risks and concerns. Develop and maintain checklists and standard operating procedures for AI risk management. Coordinate training sessions on responsible AI practices for employees across different levels of the organization. Monitor compliance with internal AI ethics guidelines in day-to-day operations. Act as the primary point of contact for AI risk-related queries and concerns from various departments. Prepare and present regular reports on AI risk management activities to senior management. Oversee the implementation of corrective actions identified through risk assessments or audits. Manage the process of collecting and analyzing feedback on AI systems from end-users and stakeholders. Serve as a liaison between the AI governance team and other AI teams across MetLife, facilitating the integration of ethical AI practices into model development, deployment, and third-party vendor processes. Craft and engineer regional implementations of Responsible AI practices across MetLife. Liaise with external partners or vendors to ensure their AI-related services align with our risk management standards. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, management, or a related field. 5-10 years' experience working in a related field with demonstrated success. Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices. Experience in facilitating change and fostering an understanding of ethical AI practices within a large global organization. Familiarity with AI concepts and their applications in business. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in policy implementation and process improvement. Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidelines. Preferred Qualifications: Proven ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders. Effective at promoting teamwork and solving challenges creatively within a large, structured organization. Adaptability to rapidly changing conditions and ambiguous environments. Continuous learner with the ability to independently master new areas. The salary range for applicants for this position is $118,700 - $182,100.
