About the Position
Conduit Power is on a path to supplement our nation's power generation system with dispatchable generation in ways that reduce carbon footprint and accelerate the transition to clean, renewable energy.
We're seeking an
experienced Finance
Associate
to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growth. In this role, you'll collaborate with leaders across Finance, Commercial, and Operations to support the build-out of our financial planning and analysis capabilities. The FP&A Associate will own project- and corporate-related forecasting, KPIs/dashboards, and budgeting processes to support the development, construction, financing and operation of natural gas and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) power plants.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical and communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to shape the finance function of a fast-growing startup in the energy transition space.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting and Investor Relations:
Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management, board of directors, lenders, and other key external stakeholders. Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insights, highlighting financial performance, trends, and key performance indicators.Financial Analysis:
Apply accounting and financial expertise to create, update, and review financial models at the project level, with support to a corporate level view. Manage near-term and long-term P&L forecasts at the project and corporate level and provide ongoing variance analysis.Cash flow and financial strategy:
Build near-term and long-term free cash flow forecasts. Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to achieve company goals.Budget Development:
Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasting, offering recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.Cross-Functional Support:
Collaborate with accounting, finance, operations, and business development teams to gather financial information and support cross-functional projects.Tooling and automation:
Help scale the Finance team's impact through the creation of better tools, templates, and internal workflow processes to support company growth.Ad Hoc Analysis:
Conduct various ad hoc projects to support business decisions and initiatives. Manage inbound requests from investors and customers.Ideal Candidate Qualities:
Financial Acumen:
Strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts, with experience applying them.Interest in Power Sector:

Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from a top-tier university.Experience:
3-5+ years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis in a power- or energy-focused accounting or finance role (power markets or upstream oil & gas preferred).Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel and complex financial modeling; high attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Sound working knowledge of GAAP accounting.Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly in Excel and PowerPoint.Certifications:
CFA or CPA designation (or partial completion) is a plus.Software:

Base salary $110,000 - $120,000 + bonus, commensurate with experience
