Some technical requirements for this position are:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.Completion of Dental Assistant program from an accredited program required.Ability to successfully pass a background check in relation to the position applied for.Day to Day:Assists dentists in four-handed dentistry procedures.Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vitals.Prepares dental operatories with necessary instruments.Provide oral hygiene instruction and education to patients.Attend to patients, providing comfort and behavior management.Prepares and maintains operatories with adequate level of supplies.Assist with patient follow-up activities, including referrals, recall and other patient needs.Assist other dental services staff with patient flow as needed and/or directed.Maintain proper sanitation standards, both with cleaning and sterilization procedures of patient facilities and instruments.
