About the role

As the Accounting Manager, you will support the financial operations of the organization by assisting with financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and consolidations. You will work closely with the senior finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data while adhering to both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Your contributions will help drive financial insights that support informed decision-making and organizational growth.What you'll do

Financial Reporting and AnalysisPrepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reports with GAAP and IFRS standards.Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and provide actionable insights.Develop and enhance financial reporting tools and dashboards to improve transparency and support decision-making.

Financial ConsolidationsAssist in preparing consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with both GAAP and IFRS.Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations to ensure accurate consolidation of financial data across the organization, including international branches.Coordinate with international finance teams to gather, validate, and consolidate financial information.Streamline and automate the consolidation process to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.

Financial Operations ManagementOversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing.Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries.Manage account reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other routine accounting tasks.Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.

Compliance and Audit SupportEnsure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and international accounting standards.Prepare documentation, workpapers, and schedules for internal and external audits.Respond to audit inquiries and implement audit recommendations to enhance financial processes and controls.Monitor adherence to tax laws, reporting requirements, and other financial regulations across relevant jurisdictions.

Systems and Process ImprovementEvaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy.Lead or support the implementation of automation and digital solutions to streamline financial operations.Conduct regular assessments of financial systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in accounting and finance.

Stakeholder Communication and Relationship ManagementCommunicate financial results, insights, and strategic recommendations effectively to senior management and key stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, Operations, and Sales, to ensure alignment and achieve financial objectives.Maintain relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial institutions to support business operations.Prepare and present financial information to the Board of Directors, investors, and other key stakeholders as needed.

Financial Project ManagementAssist in managing special financial projects such as mergers, acquisitions, financial systems implementations, or restructurings.Coordinate project tasks, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation from a financial perspective.Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, such as business expansion, capital investments, or cost optimization programs.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with financial objectives.

Financial Planning and Strategy SupportSupport the development of financial models to forecast business performance and analyze strategic opportunities.Conduct cost-benefit analyses and sensitivity analyses to support financial planning and strategic decision-making.Assist in preparing board presentations, investor relations materials, and other strategic communications.Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans and goals.

Cash Flow Management and ForecastingMonitor daily cash flow activities and provide accurate cash flow forecasts.Manage working capital by optimizing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels.Develop strategies to improve cash flow, liquidity, and overall financial stability of the organization.Provide regular cash flow analysis to support investment decisions and financial planning.

Team Leadership and DevelopmentSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, including providing training, guidance, and career development opportunities.Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the finance team, promoting continuous learning and improvement.Manage cross-functional teams involved in financial transformation initiatives, including selecting and separating decisions, performance reviews, and team alignment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Experience in the Tech industry, specifically SaaS, with a strong understanding of subscription-based revenue models.Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent certification is preferred.Proven experience with financial consolidations, multi-entity accounting, and international financial reporting.Strong knowledge and application of both GAAP and IFRS standards.Demonstrated experience in financial statement preparation, general ledger functions, and managing month-end/year-end close processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform complex financial analysis and provide actionable insights.Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP ERP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics).Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to senior leadership.

The pay range for this role is:

118,560 - 150,000 USD per year (US Very High)
