JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of IST's Office of Learning Design has an opening for one or more part-time Multimedia Production Specialists. This position will primarily support the development and delivery of media content for online courses that are part of the College's undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

This position will be responsible for multimedia development work on various projects. Duties may include:

Various video editing work via Adobe PremiereCaptioning/transcribing videosGraphic design work via Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopDevelopment of custom interactive mediaFile management of both working and completed projectsIn addition, this position may also assist with other production tasks, which may include:

Assisting with the development and revision of course materials in CanvasUpdating and maintaining webpagesConducting regular course quality assurance reviewsAttaining/maintaining accessibility compliance in courses/webpagesUpdating office records and documentationWorking on related projects as needed

This position requires a creative mindset, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork , and a willingness to learn new things. Applicants should be familiar with programs within Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, most especially with Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience with additional Adobe CC programs and/or other multimedia development software is a plus. Familiarity and/or interest with any of the following is also helpful: Kaltura, Microsoft Office 365, Canvas, WordPress, copyright rules, online accessibility standards, Smartsheet, HTML.

Scope of work depends on both the needs of the unit and the interests/experiences of the applicants. We are looking for candidates that can schedule 10-20 hrs/week during Fall and Spring semesters. Additional hours during summer and university breaks is possible. We are open to applying your work hours to internship requirements, depending upon the particular internship requirements of your college or program.
