Opportunity:Work in a global fast-paced environment focusing on a diverse and complex set of investment assetsMaintain fund and partnership books and records in compliance with the governing fund documentsInteract with Tax and Investor Services groups to provide key information to our investorsSummary of Responsibilities:

Perform and/or review the monthly close process for multiple funds including preparation and review of fund-level financial statements, allocation of income to partners and preparation of investor capital statementsPerform upload of information to partnership accounting system from source systems and perform and/or review reconciliations between partnership accounting system and source systems. Clear breaks as necessaryCoordinate monthly close process with third party administrator on select fundsAssist with review, oversight, and training of an offshore accounting teamSubject matter accounting expert related to fund structure, management fee and incentive fee calculations and fund documents for Värde fundsResponsible, along with the legal department, for ensuring Värde complies with fund governing documents including fund covenants, investment allocations and redemption requestsSubject matter expert for the accounting system related to income allocations and investor set-up and maintenanceCalculate and coordinate capital draws and distributions to investorsProactively and effectively, communicate with operations and tax departments to collect pertinent information for financial statement development, preparation and analysisParticipate in the external audit process of the Värde funds and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsPreparation and/or review of the quarterly and annual audited financial statements and related footnotes for certain Värde funds ensuring accuracy and completenessSpecial projects on an ad hoc basisQualifications:

Minimum of 3 years public accounting or 4 years related financial services industry experienceBroad accounting experience including general ledger, journal entries, review of financial statements, etc.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required, CPA certification a plusStrong math and analytical skills requiredAbility to understand complex financial information and its implicationsStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasksStrong communication skills including judgment of appropriate information to share and with whomProven ability and interest in developing relationships with other departmentsCustomer service orientation; sense of urgency in responding to requestsPersonal characteristics of self-confidence, resourcefulness, initiative, detail orientation, strong problem resolution skills, self-motivation, discipline, demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for decisions, and to deal effectively with people in a variety of relationships and situationsExcellent computer skills using spreadsheet softwareThe successful applicant for this position must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
