Job Description/Preferred QualificationsManagement

Planning Manager’s primary focus is to manage a team of space and occupancy managers with expertise in supporting supply and demand planning, real estate strategy, space analysis and space efficiency within the US portfolio.

Meet regularly with the outsourced occupancy management team members to evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.

Establish core program standards - processes, templates and outputs standardized for a global scale.

Implement regular communications to internal stakeholders.

Engage with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, and develop programs, policies, and processes to be used in our playbook.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements and translate them into occupancy solutions.

Partner with business units to develop demand models for future space needs using data and assumptions.

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with senior stakeholders to guide programming, identify goals, and support the creation and implementation of space and occupancy strategies and plans.

Build relationships with business partners to meet their allocation and adjacency needs, validating space need projections and requirements.

Refine business requirements into occupancy and space plans.

Negotiate space among user groups to maximize real estate use and improve collaboration and workflow.

Lead the allocation and reallocation of space within the organization.

Space Demand Forecasting

Collect headcount forecasts and resolve discrepancies between leadership’s numbers and those collected at the group-level.

Liaise with local/regional business partners to ensure their business’ allocation, adjacency, and spatial needs are met.

Be a champion of change management for end users - creating and maintaining employee resources to navigate workplace strategies.

Provide a single point of contact for planning related questions within the region.

Recommend, educate and enforce space policies/standards, procedures and protocols.

Data Management and Reporting

Lead periodic efforts to ensure data accuracy within the CAFM system for all space and occupancy data.

Responsible for occupancy data within the system of record.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s level degree in Architecture, workplace consulting or related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in occupancy or space planning, or facilities management.

Strong knowledge of workplace best practices and operation models.

Lab planning experience a plus.

Ability to plan at both a strategic and tactical execution level.

Ability to travel within the US (10% travel time or less anticipated).

Ability to work onsite 5 days per week.

Familiarity with CAFM and Building Management Systems.
