Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Critical Care Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years recent MS/Tele/ICU experience License: Active SD or compact state RN license Certifications: ACLS and BLS - must be AHA Must-Have: - Experience with Bipap and Cpap - Experience with Oxygen titration - Experience with Moderate Sedation - Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive medication titration, and management of ventilated patients Job Description: - Handle general job duties and various procedures, including working with Avea vents, Philips monitors, Hospira pumps, EPIC-based EMR, Artic Sun, and Datascope IABP. - Proficient knowledge of EKG, hemodynamic, and medication calculations, with testing during the first week of orientation. - Responsible for hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive medication titration, and managing ventilated patients. - Provide recovery for procedures/surgery, and administer conscious sedation. - Manage equipment such as Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, and execute Oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care effectively. - Rotating days/nights with 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday. Option for straight weekend shifts if preferred-no working alone, mandatory on-call if census dictates. - Float between various critical care units, including Cardiology, Cardiac Critical Care, Pulmonary Acute, Ortho/Neuro/Neuro Acute units. - Engage in a diverse patient population, enhancing skills in oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, moderate sedation monitoring, and postoperative care. - Participate in general nursing orientation, including computer-based training, EMR training, department-specific training based on assessed needs, and preceptor shifts.
