Special Projects Manager (Construction)

The Special Projects Manager reports directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Construction. Handles all Construction department special projects as well as provides high-level administrative support to the SVP of Construction. Handles information requests and performs functions such as preparing correspondence and materials for department functions and meetings. Enhances the Senior Vice President of Construction's effectiveness by providing information management support and representing the SVP of Construction to others when requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and direct some administrative, financial, and operational activities for the SVP of Construction.Conserve the SVP of Construction's time by reading, researching, drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing data; initiating telecommunications.Initiate, plan, coordinate, and execute special projects as assigned.Meet with Construction management team to clarify specific requirements for projects.Coordinate with other departments as needed.Establish timelines that meet project deadlines.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Attend company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which from time to time may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

5-10 years of Administrative Assistant and or related experience3-5 years of experience working in construction industryExperienced in the use of Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power PointStrong analytical skillsAbility to manage and prioritize workload and assigned tasks accordinglyAbility to perform complex or varied tasksDetailed orientedYardi experience desiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
