We are looking for a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Spanish Fork, UT.The schedule is 25 hours per week, Monday, 10:30am-7:30pm, Tuesday & Thursday, 8:30am-5:30pm, and Saturday, 8:00am-12:00pm.About the RoleThe nurse practitioner(NP) uses clinical judgments in conducting health assessments makingdifferential diagnosis and prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacologicaltreatments. Plans are implemented through independent action, healthcounseling, and collaboration with other members of the health team. The NP isresponsible for clinical oversight and health center consultation regardingadministration of health care policy and procedure of the delivery of on-sitehealth services. The NP promotes optimum health, prevents illness and injury,and manages acute and chronic health problems in the on-site setting.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms physicalexaminations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines andinstructions of Physician.Orders, interprets,and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients clinicalproblems and health care needs.Records physicalfindings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patients condition.Provides written home-going instructions.Collaborates withPhysician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient careplan as necessary.Prescribes orrecommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy,inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.Refers patients toPhysician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.Maintains medicalrecords using (In some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Recordsoftware).Educates and coachesnursing staff on best nursing practices.May require otherduties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation:All RNlicenses/certificates to practiceAll nurse practitionerlicenses/certificates to practiceState PrescriptiveAuthority (if applicable)Federal DEA license(matching each state of practice as applicable)StateNarcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama,Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana,Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma,Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (NewYork ROPES registration)Current nationalcertification (ANCC or AANP required)Master Degree inScience of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not stateNursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required)CPR (BLS for theHealthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer or ACLS-the copy must include thefront and back of card as applicable) Certification must include hands onevaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor.
