Senior Peoplesoft Consultant

Position: CAPPS PeopleSoft SpecialistLocation: Austin, Texas Onsite initially, and then 1 day/monthDuration: 12+ MonthsWe are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft specialist with a strong focus on CAPPS (Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System) implementation and support to work on-site with our Austin, Texas client initially, and then 1 day/month long term. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain, HCM, and ELM applications, with particular emphasis on CAPPS modules.This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation, integration, and ongoing support of CAPPS within our organization.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage technical and development efforts for CAPPS implementations, upgrades, and integrationsAnalyze and design solutions to bridge gaps when migrating from legacy systems to CAPPSFacilitate collaboration between CAPPS and other internal applicationsAssist with data conversion from legacy systems to CAPPS HCM and CAPPS FinancialsPlan and coordinate labor distribution processes for federally funded and site-specific employeesDevelop custom queries, reports, and reporting universes to meet business needsProvide post-implementation production support for CAPPS HCM and FinancialsDesign and implement interfaces using PeopleSoft Integration BrokerDevelop and modify PeopleSoft processes, including PO Dispatch and Bid AnalysisCreate and maintain BI Publisher and nVision reportsPerform SQL performance tuning and troubleshootingLead technical design and development activities during design and build phasesImplement and customize Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) processesDesign and develop enterprise integrations using messaging, web services, and transformations (XML, XSL, REST & SOAP)Support eProcurement Direct Connect PunchOut implementationsRequired Qualifications:Extensive experience in implementing PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain, HCM, and ELM applicationsStrong knowledge of CAPPS modules and their integrationProven experience in PeopleSoft upgrades, particularly versions 8.8 through 9.2Expertise in PeopleSoft technical tools and development methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in SQR, PeopleCode, Application Engine, and Integration BrokerExperience with BI Publisher and nVision reportingFamiliarity with XML, XSL, REST, and SOAP for integration purposesKnowledge of SQL and database performance tuningExperience in developing conversion programs and interfacesStrong documentation and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with government agencies or public sector organizationsFamiliarity with Texas state government systems and processesPrevious experience with CAPPS implementations or supportKnowledge of PeopleSoft security and workflow configurations.
