The Senior Staff Accountant position will work closely with members of the Finance Department to accomplish day-to-day activities and will hold various responsibilities within monthly accounting close, reconciliations, analysis, and financial reporting activities.

Job Responsibilities:Perform month-end closing tasks such as preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsPerform audit tasks and assist external auditorsFinancial report creationAd hoc reportingCreate/maintain supporting schedules, including but not limited to fixed asset capitalization, prepaid/deferred expense, and other account schedules and reconciliationsMulti-state sales tax reportingStay up to date with US GAAP and FASB changes and work with Department management to implement new pronouncements and standards.Perform other duties and special projects as requested by managementRequirements:

Four-year college degree in accounting or equivalentCPA or CPA track preferred3+ years of work experience in corporate or public accountingStrong working knowledge in US GAAP including full understanding on financial statements, income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statementExperience in financial auditProficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plusStrong organizational skills and the ability to multi tasks to meet deadlines is essentialFlexible and able to quickly adapt to changes resulting from a growing business environmentMust be accurate and highly detail orientedWork as part of a team as well as independentlyPositive attitude, excellent verbal, and written communication skillsBenefits:
