Job Description

Provides basic administrative and technical support for leaders and teams they support. Manages schedules/calendars, coordinates meetings, coordinates travel arrangements, processes invoices, and handles inquires as appropriate. Manages work with basic guidance and direction. Addresses basic administrative and technical issues when they arise.

Under the supervision of the designated manager, this position will perform essential functions as a practice operations assistant to support daily practice operations with duties that include, but are not limited to, patient scheduling, chart maintenance and correspondence with clinic office staff members, insurance companies and outside facilities. Assists the physicians, manager, or team in performing additional administrative details, projects and duties of highly confidential nature. Requires someone that is reliable, responsive, able to work in a very high volume and fast paced environment. Additional key attributes include using independent judgment, analytical ability and self-direction and able to research technical issues with little or no assistance. An ideal candidate would enjoy interacting with patients, problem solving and working in a team environment. Cerner and/or EMR, healthcare, customer service and light clinical experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills and experience exhibiting professional judgement and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions is required. This role allows for a hybrid environment of some in-office and some remote days. Located at University Hospital.

•High School Diploma/GED required.•Requires 0-3+ years relevant experience; previous administrative experience preferred.•Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment a plus.•Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
