Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of accounting tasks including month-end close, consolidations, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements. This role requires a solid understanding of GAAP and GAAS. The Senior Accountant will also participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial analysis activities.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
3. Perform complex balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
4. Manage the financial consolidation process for multiple entities.
5. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
6. Develop and implement effective internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and reliability.
7. Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
8. Analyze financial data and report on financial performance.
9. Provide support for audit activities and liaise with external auditors.
10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. CPA certification is highly desirable.
4. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
5. Proven experience with month-end close, consolidations, and reconciliations.
6. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
