Job Details

This is a working lead position. The position is responsible for overseeing the operations of 2nd shift, as well as working on the Production floor. Lead responsibilities include locking up the facility at the end of shift, spearheading safety and housekeeping, reporting quality concerns, reporting material shortages, reporting schedule deviations, and being the point person for coworkers to help make decisions regarding day-to-day obstacles. Production responsibilities depend on the individual’s skillset and experience. This position follows and enforces safety requirements and effectively participates in team activities including product development and lean manufacturing programs. This position works under the direction of the Production Supervisor or other manufacturing leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

?Report any safety or quality incidences or concerns for the shift.

?Report if anyone on the shift deviated from the production schedule and why.

?Report any material shortages that are going to cause hardships with regards to maintaining the production schedule.

?Point of contact for the shift to help resolve obstacles that occur during operations.

?Secure the facility at the end of the shift by locking it and setting the alarm.

?Train new associates or cross train team members in areas that Lead is trained and familiar with.

?Perform safety audits of the facility.

?Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

?Actively participate in cross training and continuous improvement assignments.

?Maintain clean and organized work area conditions.

?Perform work in a safe manner, complete all required safety inspections and adhere to safety rules and guidelines including safely operate all tools & equipment if trained and assigned.

?Work required overtime as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

?Previous leadership responsibilities.

?High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

?Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with management and co-workers.

?Must be detail oriented with attention to accuracy.

?Must understand English and be understood.

?Basic shop math.

?Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

?Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

?Must be able to work with various technologies.
