We are hiring for Production Multi-Operators in Salisbury!

General Job Duties

  • To Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members, understand how machine works and how to operate it safely, knowledge of emergency stops, utilization of personal protective equipment and report all accidents immediately.
  • To meet and maintain all customer quality standards.
  • To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department's established procedures and work instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow standard operating procedures to mold, assemble and finish product.
  • Prepare machinery for daily production, ensure it is operational, conduct temperature and ratio checks, etc
  • Complete start up documentation, report scrap, complete production boards, etc.
  • Produce product that conforms to quality inspection standards.
  • Inspect product for defects, determine if defect is repairable; deflash/sand product and or remove excessive adhesives as needed using appropriate tools, place product in appropriate fixtures and initiate cycle for secondary operation as needed and attach needed hardware.
  • Meet cycle time expectations.
  • Maintain clean work environment. Follow all 5S procedures.
  • Collect scrap generated at process area and deposit in designated containers.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read and write English sufficiently enough to fully understand safety policies, work instructions, chemical warning labels, etc.
  • Good math skills and mechanical ability.
  • Ability to use rulers, scales and other physical measuring instruments.
  • Flexibility to perform several job duties and work at a quick pace.
  • Must be able to understand information gathered from meters, dials, calibrated scales and visual display units.

Physical Requirements

  • Walking / standing for minimum of 8 hours per day.
  • Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending, stooping and carrying.
  • Must be able to work in high temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with Fiberglass dust.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and/or alternate shifts as required.
  • Must be able to travel from time to time including overnight, as required.
