Program Manager Structural Heart - Quality Management

Summary:
In a High Reliability Organization, the Structural Heart Program Manager, reporting to the senior most Quality Management leader of the Ministry, is responsible for supporting the clinical aspects of the Cardiovascular program across the regional hospitals. Assures patients receive care that consistently follows evidence-based standards and is in accordance with defined regulatory standards. Participates in the collection and monitoring of data for quality improvement of patient care. Supports excellence in clinical practice and for coordinating activities required to meet multidepartment internal and external data related needs. This individual provides support to department leaders regarding program development and management. Acts as a liaison to the community for Cardiovascular care by providing and organizing education awareness, prevention, and rehabilitation services. Develops educational programs for nurses, clinical staff, physicians, and EMS. Facilitates physician collaboration and utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to Cardiovascular care to improve outcomes in a cost-effective manner. In addition, the Program Manager facilitates department process improvement by abstraction interpretation and intervention of CHRISTUS patients entered into ACC/ STS registries and core measures, where appropriate. The program includes Open Heart, LAAO, TAVR, MitraClip, WATCHMAN and all structural heart patient care coordination.
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 150-bed hospital serving the fastest growing area of San Antonio. Specialized care includes orthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women's services, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascular care from diagnostics to open heart surgery, vascular lab, sleep center, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute, wound care, rehabilitation, and more. The campus also boasts an Outpatient Imaging Center and three medical plazas, one of which houses our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Health Center.
Responsibilities:

*Proficient in computer skills using EXCEL, PowerPoint, clinical systems, and registry databases.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Three years of healthcare experience in a cardiovascular specialty.
- Sound knowledge of CV health and related diagnostic services
- NCDR Registry experience preferred.
- Prior patient teaching experience preferred.
- RN License required in state of employment.
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification required.
