Associate Veterinarian

Santa Ynez Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our dynamic team of 4 doctors. Nestled in the scenic Southern California wine country, just 25 minutes from the beaches of Santa Barbara and a short drive from the charming Danish village of Solvang, our family-owned hospital offers the perfect balance between professional growth and an exceptional quality of life.

We offer several specialty surgeries, including - but not limited to - laparoscopic spays, internal fracture fixation, TECA, TPLO, BOAS and more. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care.
• Be able to handle both routine and emergency cases.
• Educate and communicate clearly with clients about their pets' health, including complex treatment plans.
• Perform general surgeries (training in more advanced procedures is always available for a passionate candidate)
• Contribute to our compassionate patient-first approach to care, and be the patient's ultimate advocate. 

Salary & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary of $120,000 to $160,000 for fulltime associates plus quarterly production with no negative accrual.

Qualifications:

• DVM from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or successful completion of the ECFVG/PAVE programs.
• Licensed to practice in California and in good standing.
• Interest in the general practice of surgery and medicine, with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong dedication to client education and patient advocacy.
• Current DEA licensing and USDA accreditation are preferred - but not required - for hiring
• Above all - a passion for what you do!
