This role involves identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and planned giving prospects to ensure sustainable funding for LightHouse's programs and initiatives. The Senior Director will work closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders to achieve ambitious fundraising goals.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a focus on major gifts and planned giving.Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in securing significant major gifts and planned gifts. Experience in managing a comprehensive fundraising program with measurable results.Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners, and community leaders.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, presentations, and reports.Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Commitment to Mission: Passion for the mission of LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired and a strong commitment to advancing its goals.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for major gifts and planned giving programs to meet and exceed fundraising goals. Align strategies with the overall mission and objectives of LightHouse.Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with a portfolio of major donors and prospects. Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and events to engage and solicit support.Planned Giving Program Management: Design and manage a planned giving program, including identifying potential donors, creating marketing materials, and developing personalized solicitation strategies.Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize donor database and CRM systems to track progress, analyze data, and generate reports on fundraising activities. Use insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.Events and Campaigns: Plan and execute donor recognition events, fundraising campaigns, and other activities to engage and inspire donors. Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to enhance outreach efforts.Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for major gifts and planned giving initiatives, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with organizational priorities.Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to carry or transport 20lbsSit/Stand at a desk and perform computer-intensive work for long periods of timeOperate standard office equipmentMust be able to independently travel to all LightHouse physical locations and events as needed.WORKING CONDITIONS:LightHouse is an equal opportunity employer.
