The GPS Analytics and Cognitive (A&C) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients.Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.Work you'll do:

The Dialog Engineer will, as part of several client delivery teams, be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining cutting-edge AI-based conversation systems, ensuring smooth and engaging user experiences. Additionally, the Prompt Engineer will participate in a wide variety of Natural Language Processing activities, including refining and optimizing prompts to improve the outcome of Large Language Models (LLMs), and code and design review. The kinds of activities performed by the Prompt Engineer will also include, but not be limited to:Working across client teams to develop and architect Data Science solutions using NLP, ML and GenAIDeveloping and promoting standards across the communityEvaluating and selecting appropriate AI tools and machine learning models for tasks, as well as building and training working versions of those models using Python and other open-source technologiesWorking with leadership and stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and promote strategyDeveloping and conducting trainings for users across the Government & Public Services landscape on principles used to develop models and how to interact with models to facilitate their business processesBuilding and prioritizing backlog for future machine-learning enabled features to support client business processesRequired Qualifications:

Must have active Top Secret or TS/SCI level clearance2+ years of professional experience programming in Python or R2+ years of professional experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)2+ years of professional experience with machine learning modeling2+ years of professional experience with AI algorithmsAbility to support a hybrid to fulltime schedule onsite in the DC areaBachelor's degree required in applicable subjectMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futurePreferred Qualifications:

Previous Government Consulting and/or professional services experienceIn depth understanding of AI protocols and standardsUnderstanding of technology risks and the ability to assess and mitigate themDeep knowledge of a specific domain or industry, with a focus on applying NLP/LLM solutions in that contextExperience with debugging and troubleshooting software or solutions design issuesProven ability to stay current with best practices and new technology solutions in the fieldAbility to display both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issuesExperience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
