Overview:LAC Federal is looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Library Technicians to support our mission of providing exceptional library services. In this role, you will contribute to the organization, maintenance, and curation of collection materials in a dynamic environment, ensuring that information is accessible and well-preserved for our patrons.Position Type:

Hybrid position - (2-3 days onsite; working hours 8:45am-5:15pm Monday-Friday)Key Responsibilities:Assist in the cataloging and classification of library materialsPerform quality checks and maintenance on physical collections to ensure materials are in good conditionManage the organization and shelving of books and resources according to established library standardsSupport digitization efforts by preparing materials for scanning and maintaining accurate metadataEngage with patrons to assist with inquiries and promote library resourcesCollaborate with team members on special projects related to collection development and customer serviceMinimum Requirements:High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience in a library or information management environmentFamiliarity with integrated library systems (ILS) and cataloging practicesStrong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and library patronsAttention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all tasksAbility to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with library workExperience with digital resources, scanning equipment, and basic computer applications a plusBenefits:Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWellness Resources
