Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a
Senior Wetland Scientist
to join our growing team of professionals in our Abingdon, Maryland office. Join a dynamic group that supports both field and office tasks in the Natural Resource field throughout the State of Maryland. Primary responsibilities as a member of GTA's natural resource group will include a mix of field investigations, data analyses, technical report writing, and permit application preparation. Wetland Scientist field work includes wetland assessments, wetland delineations, soil characterizations, botanical and listed wildlife surveys, habitat assessments, and mitigation monitoring. Wetland scientists will coordinate with clients and engineers to prepare wetland delineation reports, listed wildlife assessments/survey reports, and submit federal, state, and local government permit applications related to wetland jurisdictional determinations, wetland impact permits, and listed species permits for project compliance. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, implementation and guidance are required.
WETLANDS SCIENTIST JOB REQUIREMENTS
BS Degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources or related field
7 or more years of related experience, including field work
GPS, GIS, and AutoCAD experience preferred but not required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain and develop client relationships
Willingness to work independently, including field work
Willingness to travel periodically

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year. Salary commensurate with relevant experience.
