The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks Infectious Disease candidates for the position of Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, depending upon experience. This is a faculty position, as such requires providing clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, and participating in research and scholarly activities. Protected time and an attractive start-up package for a research-focused faculty is available.

Position Summary

Provide clinical care to patients admitted to Children's Hospital of Illinois and ambulatory clinics. Participate in teaching medical students and residents, and scholarly activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide clinical services (inpatient and outpatient).

Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and other health professionals.

Conduct clinical and/or translational research in the field of Pediatric Infectious Disease.

Participate in infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship committees.

Provide phone consultations for other hospitals and Pediatric offices in Illinois.

Provide guidance for community outbreaks (measles and tuberculosis).

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

MD/DO degree or equivalent

BC/BE in Pediatric Infectious Disease

Will hold or be eligible for an Illinois physician license
