is a Cleveland, Ohio based non-profit organization that is nationally recognized for its excellence in helping children with disabilities and their families achieve and thrive.We are currently seeking a Teacher/Intervention Specialist who would like to join our innovative K-12 school for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This position will be hired through the ESC and will work at ACC as a part of an interdisciplinary team in a full day (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) program.Responsibilities include:
Leading the classroom team and providing direct instruction to studentsDeveloping and implementing prescribed behavior plansAssisting with personal hygiene routines as neededFollowing students’ IEP goals when substituting in the classroomsRequirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master Degree in Special EducationTwo or more years of experience teaching in a classroom setting with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.Training and experience in 2 or more of the methodologies incorporated in the Autism School Model (TEACCH, ABA/Discrete Trial, PECS, Social Skills groups, Functional Behavior Assessments)
