Environmental Utilities Business Analyst .The City is seeking a highly skilled and analytical individual to perform complex analyses related to cost of service, rate design, and modeling for our water, wastewater, recycled water, and solid waste utilities. This position will play a critical role in forecasting revenues and expenditures, assisting with budget preparation and monitoring, and supporting a variety of special projects and studies connected to Environmental Utilities operations.

One year of experience performing environmental utilities analysis, financial analysis, business case analysis, or database management is desirable.ANDTraining :A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with major course work in business administration, public administration, mathematics, accounting, economics or a related field.ANDLicense or CertificatePossession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.Environmental Utilities Business Analyst IIExperience and TrainingExperience:Two years of professional experience performing duties similar to that of an Environmental Utilities Business Analyst I with the City of Roseville.ANDTraining :A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with major coursework in business administration, public administration, mathematics, accounting, economics or a related field.License or CertificatePossession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

:All candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will have their application scored in a Formula Rate Examination. The applicant’s experience and education will be evaluated using a pre-determined formula. Scores from this evaluation will determine applicant ranking and placement on the Employment List. Supplemental questions will be utilized by the department hiring authority to make interview and selection determinations.Final appointment is contingent upon a check of past employment references, passing a City-paid fingerprint check, and depending on the position applied for, a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol screening test, credit check, license and/or education verification, psychological examination, and/or an extensive Police Department background check process.Some positions require the clearance of a comprehensive Police Department (PD) background check within 12 months of appointment.
