OverviewEnterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for an Diesel Automotive Technician!

The Diesel Auto Tech performs car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning service according to company policy and procedures. The position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative and performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our quality standards. This position is located at our Service Center in San Jose.

Starting base pay rate is $35.00 / hr with an increase in pay for each additional ASE's (min requirement of 4 ASE's for this position OR any current and valid OE Manufacturer Certification).

Each additional ASE is $1.30 more per hour.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.

Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.

Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.

Read and interpret diagnostic test results, often by using dials, gauges, and other computer equipment.

Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.

Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles.

Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.

Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.

Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.

Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.

May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.

Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training.

Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards.

Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Follow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Must have 1 OE Manufacturer Certification or 4 ASE's

Must be able understand, read, write, and speak English.

Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Must be able to work Full Time (40 hours per week) Tues - Sat 9am - 530pm. Sun & Mon OFF.

*DOT Requirements : DOT pre-employment physical and drug testing as well as random drug and alcohol testing as regulated by the Federal Transit Authority.
