Job Description
SIXT LAX is looking to hire a Fleet Technician who is responsible for performing basic maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles in our fleet, including oil changes, tire replacement, and vehicle inspections. This position is vital to rental operations to provide a quick turnaround of maintenance to increase the number of vehicles available to our customers.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Performs basic mechanical repairs to include oil changes, mounting and balancing tires, tire repair, brake and part replacements.
Completes pre-delivery inspections on fleet vehicles as required by management.
Achieves daily output goals and maintains the minimum efficiency of 100%.
Uses PPE every time repairs are performed including the usage of safety glasses at all times while in the automotive shops.
Conducts daily clean-up of work area and maintains a clean work environment.
Competencies
Minimum 2 years experience as an automotive technician or trade school graduate.
Possesses ASE Certifications Suspension & Steering and Brakes (A4-A5), or able to complete within the first year of employment.
Effort and Working Conditions
40 hour work week.
Daily represents Sixt Rent a Car by following professional appearance standards for a technician.
Stand for extended periods of time while performing vehicle maintenance.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects such as automotive parts.
This position has exposure to chemicals such as motor oil, brake fluid, and cleaners associated with mechanical vehicle repairs.
