Middle School Science Teacher

to join the faculty for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is located at our middle school on 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain.The compensation for Match teaching positions ranges from $61,819-$98,889 and is based on a candidate’s prior years of teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance.Staff working hours are Monday-Friday, 7:15am-2:45pm. On Wednesdays, staff stay until 4:30pm for professional development, staff meetings and work time.OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis Middle School Science Teacher position includes a number of essential responsibilities, including (but not limited to):Teach four middle school science classes;Develop daily lessons aligned with Match’s Science curriculum in collaboration with department colleagues and leadership team members;Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;Participate actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming;Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; andServe as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community.PM20QUALIFICATIONSResearch has shown that people of color and women are less likely to apply for jobs if they don’t believe they meet every one of the qualifications described in a job description.
