A successful Assistant Principal will skillfully demonstrate:

Strong drive to achieve outstanding results quickly, with the ability to motivate and influence others.

Competence in gathering and analyzing data to make informed decisions, ensuring learning goals align with classroom activities.

Ability to develop and execute clear, strategic plans that drive continuous improvement.

Focused and self-assured leadership, fostering a positive outlook and collective responsibility for student achievement.

Skilled at creating a collaborative culture of shared leadership and accountability, promoting mutual respect and teamwork among staff and students.

Commitment to using data to inform instructional practices and ensuring ongoing evaluation and adaptation of teaching strategies to meet student needs.

Dedication to allocating resources towards direct instruction and job-embedded professional development, including classroom-based coaching.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Education or related field

Teaching Certification or experience

State of Michigan School Administrative Certification, or in process

Administrative or Leadership experience

Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience

Successful record of school leadership
