Fire ChiefThe City of Bixby, a growing and progressive community, seeks a proactive, positive, qualified individual who is self-motivated, task-oriented, and results-driven to serve as the next Deputy Fire Chief.Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief performs various technical, administrative, and supervisory tasks to ensure the fire department meets its established mission.Principal Responsibilities:
The Deputy Fire Chief leads the mission of the Fire Department through:Fire and EMS operationsPlanning and implementation of Fire and EMS programsCommunity fire prevention and public health initiativesBuilding inspectionsCommunity engagement and Public relationsStrategic PlanningInternal trainingData acquisition and analysisBudget administration and grant applicationsCooperative efforts with other jurisdictions to resolve common fire and EMS problemsEducation, Training & Experience Required:
NREMT - Emergency Medical Technician or higherIFSAC - Fire Officer 1 or equivalentIFSAC - Instructor 1 or equivalentTen (10) years of fire service experienceExperience must include at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacityBachelor’s Degree (Preferred)Compensation:
