ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Food and Beverage Department Manager, the incumbent will assist with daily functions and implement all established procedures for the restaurant.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ensure that all staff is fully trained in Tips, Sips, and Food Handling (as well as properly certified).

Assist in the evaluation of restaurant personnel.

Enforces food and beverage policies and procedures.

Ensures sanitation compliance throughout the restaurant.

Promotes positive customer relations.

Handles customer complaints.

Ensures and enforces portion control.

Conducts self in a professional manner at all times.

Additional duties may be assigned.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED required

Associate's degree preferred with one (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience required or a combination of education and/or work experience.

Casino food and beverage experience is helpful.

Must be able to interface effectively with other management staff to deliver a positive guest service experience.

Must have proven ability to lead, manage, and develop staff.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be flexible and adaptable to change.

Must be able to work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge of Infogenesis POS system preferred.

Strong understanding of cost of sales for both beverage and food as well as labor costs and inventory control preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here may be representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans.
