All tenure-track candidates are expected to have a demonstrated interest in liberal arts and sciences education, contribute effectively to undergraduate teaching, assist in curriculum development, provide service to the department and College, as well as be active in scholarly, creative, and/or research productivity appropriate to a liberal arts environment.
Position DescriptionThe Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek an outstanding teacher/scholar dedicated to excellence in teaching and has the ability to work productively with faculty and students from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will be able to teach courses at the undergraduate level in research methods, econometrics, and thesis (research seminar). Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to working with underrepresented minority students through teaching and mentoring are encouraged to apply.
QualificationsPh.D. in Economics. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate research, experiential learning, and innovative teaching, as well as a proven track record in the ability to transfer her/his research experience to the classroom. The candidate must be able to teach a variety of undergraduate courses, at all levels.
