Faculty Position in Infectious Diseases

Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Division of Infectious Diseases (Department of Medicine) is accepting applications for a physician on the Clinician-Educator track with expertise in care for people living with HIV and/or viral hepatitis, starting July 2025. The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient care to people living with HIV, viral hepatitis, and other infectious diseases, engage in educational activities for all levels of learners, and have opportunities to participate in clinical, epidemiologic, or translational research programs focused on HIV and/or viral hepatitis.The Vanderbilt Comprehensive Care Clinic (VCCC) provides a medical home for people living with HIV, with care provided by a multi-disciplinary team including behavioral health, addiction medicine/harm reduction, dermatology, obstetrics, gynecology, social work, pharmacy, case management, and dietary support. Serving approximately 4,000 patients, VCCC has been designated as a Primary Care Medical Home by the Joint Commission and was named as an HIV Center of Excellence by the Tennessee Department of Health. VUMC is also home to the Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center (SE AETC), one of eight regional AETCs across the United States. The SE AETC offers educational opportunities to expand and strengthen the HIV clinical workforce, improve outcomes along the HIV Care Continuum, and reduce the number of new HIV infections.The Division of Infectious Diseases comprises 61 full-time faculty, 9 advanced practice providers, and 14 Infectious Diseases fellows, with dedicated inpatient and outpatient Infectious Diseases pharmacy support.
