Our incredible customers undertake life-saving activities ranging from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, new medicines, and cell and gene therapies.The Distribution Associate executes the receiving, storing, picking, staging, and distribution of materials required for assembly/manufacture of product, ensuring the day-to-day work tasks are completed in an ethical, safe manner.This position is part of the Receiving Department located in Logan/North Logan, UT and will be an onsite position.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Perform physical movement of materials using handcarts or forklifts.Pick parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity.Create and/or maintain transactional inventory records.Maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity.Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments.Communicate/notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepancies.Fill kits and deliver to production as required.Maintain stocking/inventory objectives and quantify and verify cycle counts.Comply with EHS and Quality System regulations and policies.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.The essential requirements of the job include:High school diploma or local equivalent, and demonstrated ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.Must be capable of passing Department of Transportation’s Health Exam to operate company vehicle routing materials.Proficient in basic mathematics and capable of working in extreme cold conditions (-20 ̊ C/-4 ̊ F) on a regular basis.Ability to communicate well and work with others, perform basic computer skills, consistently lift up to 75 pounds, and utilize automated lifting equipment.Forklift certification or ability to become certified.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:2+ years’ experience in storing and material handling.Previous experience with Oracle and Master Control; Knowledge of computerized material flow methods.Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control; Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.At Danaher we bring together science, technology, and operational capabilities to accelerate the real-life impact of tomorrow’s science and technology.
